DStv New Packages in Kenya: Prices and Football from 5 November
By Livescore44 Sport Desk · Editorial26 October 20263 min read
From 5 November 2026, DStv Kenya has four packages instead of six, and every Premier League and Champions League match costs KSh 3,000 a month on the new DStv Sports package. That replaces DStv Compact at KSh 4,200, and until now the Champions League also meant paying for Compact Plus.
DStv says active subscribers move to the new packages automatically on 5 November. Until then, the current packages and prices still apply.

- A big match now and then: DStv Starter, KSh 750, shows selected Premier League and Champions League games on SuperSport Kickoff, plus SuperSport La Liga.
- Football and Formula 1, tennis, golf or rugby: DStv Ultimate, which carries everything on Sports and the rest of SuperSport.
What happens to your current package
DStv's announcement maps four of today's packages to the new ones: Access becomes Starter, Family becomes Select, Compact becomes Sports and Premium becomes Ultimate. On those four, every bill goes down. Premium subscribers save the most, from KSh 11,700 to KSh 7,300.
DStv has not said where Lite and Compact Plus subscribers land. Compact Plus costs KSh 7,300 today, the same as Ultimate, and its Champions League coverage is now on Sports at KSh 3,000. If you pay for Lite or Compact Plus, ask DStv before 5 November which package you move to.
SuperSport Swahili
A 24-hour Swahili sports channel launches on 5 November for DStv customers in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, with Premier League football, UEFA competitions, La Liga, Serie A, athletics, UFC and WWE. On DStv's Kenyan channel lists it sits on Sports and Ultimate.
GOtv and DStv Stream
DStv lists the same four packages for DStv Stream, the app-only service with no dish. GOtv has not published new packages on its Kenyan site; until it does, our Premier League guide keeps the GOtv prices GOtv lists today.
Frequently asked questions
How much is DStv Sports in Kenya?
DStv Sports costs KSh 3,000 a month from 5 November 2026. It replaces DStv Compact, which costs KSh 4,200, and carries every Premier League and every UEFA Champions League match.
Which DStv package shows the Premier League from 5 November?
Every Premier League match is on DStv Sports (KSh 3,000) and DStv Ultimate. DStv Starter and DStv Select show selected Premier League and Champions League matches on the new SuperSport Kickoff channel, not every game.
Does DStv Starter show football?
Yes, some. DStv Starter (KSh 750) carries SuperSport Kickoff, with selected Premier League and Champions League matches, and SuperSport La Liga. For every Premier League match you need DStv Sports or Ultimate.
Do I need to do anything to move to the new DStv packages?
No, according to DStv. Active customers whose package is changing are moved automatically on 5 November. From that date you can also change package through DStv self-service.
What happens to DStv Compact Plus and DStv Lite?
DStv has not said. Its announcement maps Access to Starter, Family to Select, Compact to Sports and Premium to Ultimate, and does not mention Lite or Compact Plus. If you pay for either, ask DStv before 5 November which package you will move to and what it will cost.
Is GOtv changing too?
GOtv has not published any change on its Kenyan website. Press reports on 26 October described new GOtv packages, but until GOtv lists them we treat its current packages and prices as the ones that apply.
