How we model correct score
The model builds a goal expectation for each side from expected goals, recent form and home and away scoring, then works out how probable each exact scoreline is from those two expectations. Because so many scorelines are possible, even the top pick usually sits around ten percent, and that is honest: correct score is a lottery you can tilt, not solve.
Where correct score goes wrong
A near miss still loses. Call 2-1 and watch it finish 3-1 and you were right about the winner, right about the shape of the game, and paid nothing. One late goal breaks the bet, so never lean a whole slip on it.
