Where to watch the Premier League in South Africa

SuperSport shows the Premier League in South Africa, on DStv. Beyond selected matches, the cheapest package for the Premier League is DStv Sports at R399 a month (“all football from the best leagues”); DStv Select at R299 carries selected matches.

Prices read off the broadcasters' own South Africa sites on 25 October 2026. Prices and rights change by season, so check with the broadcaster before you pay.

Packages that carry the Premier League

Monthly prices in rand, as DStv South Africa lists them.

Channels: SuperSport’s football channels on DStv, with a selection of matches on SuperSport Kickoff.

DStv Starter (R99) includes SuperSport Kickoff, but DStv’s page does not mention the Premier League for it, so it is not listed.

DStv Movies & Series (R500) has no football.

Showmax closed as a standalone service on 30 April 2026, so it is no longer an option.

Premier League kick-off times in South Africa (SAST)

South Africa is on SAST (UTC+2) all year. From 25 October 2026, when Europe's clocks go back, the usual slots are:

From the last Sunday in March, when Europe moves to summer time, each kick-off is one hour earlier in South Africa. Every match page on Livescore44 shows the kick-off in your own time, and today's matches in South Africa are listed in Johannesburg time.

Watching on a phone, and saving data

The DStv app (DStv Stream) comes at no extra cost with a DStv package, and shows what your package carries. MyDStv is for paying and managing your account, not for watching.

Streaming a full match uses far more data than following the score. Watch on Wi-Fi when you can, set the app to a lower video quality in its settings, and download nothing over mobile data that you can get on Wi-Fi later. When data is short, follow the score instead on Livescore44 Lite, a text-only page that loads on very little data.
